The Senior Boys Soccer team went undefeated several weekends ago in Parker's Cove and came home with the 2A Boys Soccer Banner. They played a tough final against the Lamaline Jaguars. They were down 1-0 throughout the game but with just mere seconds left Nicholas Roul scored the tying goal bringing tons of confidence to the team heading into overtime. There was no score in overtime leading the game into an exciting round of penalty shots where the mustangs eliminated the Jaguars and took home the regional banner. Christian Brockerville, a grade 10 student, wanted to do his part to raise money for the Janeway Telethon. He has been collecting pop tabs for the past few years. Christian is not a stranger to the Janeway. He was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when he was a child. This past year he was granted his wish from Make a Wish Foundation; Christian and his family travelled to Spain to meet Cristiano Ronaldo of the Real Madrid soccer team. He was so grateful for what he has been given he decided that he wanted to give something back.
As a result he collected 50 pounds of pop tabs to go along with the 100 pounds which were already accumulated by the primary students (pictured below).
